Not Every Family Has a Kathy.

In August of 2017, Kevin D. Williams' son was diagnosed with stage four liver cancer. He passed away on January 30, 2018.

The oncology team was clinically excellent. But they spoke in a language the family could not understand. Kevin's oldest sister, Kathy — a retired nurse practitioner — sat beside them and translated what the doctors were saying into words they could actually hear.

Not every family has a Kathy.

That experience led Kevin to write Clarity in Care, develop the C.L.E.A.R. Framework, and ultimately co-found Legacy HealthWorks alongside his daughter Kylar and his nephew Keary.

Today, Legacy HealthWorks is a true family effort — a healthcare workforce development and communication technology company built on one belief: healthcare teams deserve more than a checkbox certification. They deserve to walk into every shift, every emergency, and every patient conversation with real confidence. And every family deserves a Kathy in the room.

"Not every family has a Kathy.

That gap — that silence — is where we go to work."

Meet the Team

Kylar Williams
Kylar Denae Williams

Co-Founder & CEO

Kylar leads provider credentialing at Legacy HealthWorks — helping healthcare providers get enrolled with payers so they can accept insurance and stop losing revenue. A University of Arkansas graduate (B.S. in Human Development and Family Sciences, Class of 2024), she is also a published author and speaker (Two Homes, One Heart) and shapes how the brand shows up online through her strength in social media strategy.

"I do this work because I've sat with providers who were bleeding revenue for months and didn't know why — and watched the relief on their faces when the paperwork finally worked the way it should. Credentialing isn't glamorous, but it's the difference between a practice that survives and one that thrives. Making that invisible work seamless for the people caring for patients is what gets me up in the morning."
